Dredge (PS4)

I would like to write a review about a fishing game. Before I get into this, and before I get a lot of messages asking if I'm okay, let me warn you that I'm not completely insane.There's a way to my madness.Today's title is Dredge. As I said earlier, it's a fishing game. But there are many other elements that really help make this all-new adventure compelling: charming and bloody spooky. You will learn more as we go.

In Dredge, you play a fisherman who runs aground after hitting a jagged rock. Rescued and ashore thanks to a very experienced lighthouse owner. The locals need someone to fish the waves for them, and you need a new boat, so your story starts here... but it's more than just catching a few fish. There is very dark magic at work and the waves are not as safe as they first appear.

During the day you need to go outside and fill the hold with fish. at the start of the game. Then sell these to the local fishmonger and pay the mayor for a new boat. Then things start getting interesting. With more permanent transportation, you can go almost anywhere. Trust me, there's a pretty big difference between can and should in this case. This is a game of two halves and very bad things happen at night. If you're not prepared, you won't survive long.
